The Earth day, an annual Event, is a great time to fun, educational and action- oriented activities. It is a great way to showcase classroom environment education, highlight efforts to ‘green’ the school premises or engage the whole community in making a difference.

                                We, in Kirpal Sagar strongly believe that the young buds(students) when connected to nature at a tender age a can build a lifetime of respect and enjoyment foe the Earth and outdoors. The celebration was organised in school premises with a myriad of educational activities. The special assembly started with a short prayer, followed by a thought, current news and General Knowledge based questions. Then 3 groups of cheerful students recited poems in Hindi and Punjabi. Two one-act plays were enacted on the stage, elucidating the ill-effects of pollution and deforestation.

                                Colourful Banners and relevant slogans were put up. A green walk for the children of class Vll-Xll was organised. The students were sensitized about the importance of saving the environment.  A speech in English and Punjabi, stressing on the importance of nature and its protection was delivered by the students. The Principal, Mrs Madhu Aeri, spoke about the day, its importance and related issues. She stimulated and inspired the students on how to make a tangible environmental impact with their tiny actions.

                                The last event of the day was the ‘Tree plantation drive’ organised in the school premises. Everybody parted with a happy smile and an enlightment on a wide variety of environment activities and issues and its solution
