“ Ragas and Rhapsodies “ Annual Day Celebrations 2019 Kirpal Sagar Academy celebrated its 30th annual day with unprecedented fanfare on November 15, 2019 at the school premises. The school was decorated elegantly. A grand stage had been set up with professional sound system. Mr. Wolfgang Gelrich, chairman - Unity of Man ( Austria) had been invited as the chief guest. He was given a floral welcome before he inaugurated the programme. Dr Karamjit Singh(Chairman), Mrs Parminder Kaur (Vice chairperson), Madam Angela, Dr Margaret Augustine (Principal), Dr Augustine (Director-Academics), Mrs Sarbjit Mangat and other dignitaries presided the celebration. Dr Augustine presented the formal welcome. The talented students presented a variety of mesmerising cultural events such as dances, plays, mime etc. Dr Margaret Augustine, the Principal read the annual report of the school. She made the audience aware of the school’s achievements in academics and co-curricular arenas. Prizes were given away to the last year’s CBSE academic toppers and the school toppers. Addressing on the occasion the chief guest lauded and praised the school for raising the educational standard in the city. The Chairman also addressed the gathering with his most inspiring words. The event closed with a grand finale and an Orchestra (musical event) by all the participants . It was indeed a spectacular display of talent and fervour. The programme was an amalgamation of various hues befitting the theme wondrously. At the end, Master Joe M Jacob (Vice Headboy) thanked the chief-guest, dignitaries, and parents for having spared their time to attend the function. The much awaited “Olympus storm” Annual Sports Day was held on Friday 25th October 2019, with great zeal, excitement and frolicsome atmosphere. The programme began with the Principal Dr Margaret Augustine and Director- Academics Dr Augustine , the equestrians and the NCC cadets welcoming the esteemed chief guest, Ms Rajvir Kaur Rai (gold medallist- hockey) and the Olympian Mr Gurmail Singh (AIG). The day emphasised on the importance of sports in a child's life.

One of the most beautiful aspects of cross country running is that it’s not just you against the competition and yourself, but also Mother Nature. Over a variety of surfaces—from dirt and grass to mud and asphalt to gravel —you’ll find sharp turns, fields, logs to jump —all combining to constantly disrupt your rhythm much more so than a race run on an even, flat surface. Kirpal Sagar academy organised a cross country race for the their students on 21 September 2019. All the students got together at the main gate, the starting point . The principal, Dr Margaret, Director - Academics , Dr Augustine presided over the event. The race began with the boys of XI- XII, followed by boys of class IX -X , followed by the boys of class VIII - VII, class VI-V, class IV -III.

Kirpalians celebrated the Earth Day Day 2019 with much enthusiasm. The aim was to sensitize the students towards their role in addressing global environment challenges at grass root level. The teachers and students tool part collectively in framing and organising today’s event. The special Assembly started with a poem in hindi, followed by short skit in Punjabi and Hindi respectively, informing the students on how Mother Earth can be saved from Global Warming. A speech in English a was delivered emphasizing on the day’s importance.

The Earth day, an annual Event, is a great time to fun, educational and action- oriented activities. It is a great way to showcase classroom environment education, highlight efforts to ‘green’ the school premises or engage the whole community in making a difference.

The Hindi Elocution was held on 5th Aug,2017 for students of grade VI - VIII. Each house was represented by 2 students. The topic chosen was ' मन के जीते जीत ' ' मन के हारे हार है '

Elocution is the art of expressing oneself in which gesture, vocal production and delivery are emphasized. It is also the study & practice of public speaking. Kirpalians grabbed this opportunity of public speaking. The topic given to them was ‘All that I am or would be, I owe it to my mother.’ The students were well prepared and confident.

With the rising temperatures, rose the ‘Aw’s’ and ‘ Ah’s’)’ in the audience. The Inter-House Throw ball Tournament was conducted in the H.H.Dr. Harbhajan Singh Ji sports Complex from 4th May – 6th May 2017. Both the boys and Girls were super excited and enthusiastic. On 4th May and 5th May, the Throw Ball matches were held, whereas the final was held on 6th May, 2017.

Sports is an integral part of a students’ overall development. Keeping up the tradition this year too, Kirpal Sagar Academy organized the Annual Athletic Meet 2016-2017 from 21st November – 23rd November 2016. The Kirpalians participated with a great spirit and enthusiasm.

Kirpal Sagar Academy organised ‘Arpan’ – the House show to pay a tribute to their beloved mother, H.H. Biji Surinder Kaur ji, one of the founding pillars of the Academy. All the students participated enthusiastically.

Kirpal Sagar believes in and lays importance on overall development of a child. Co-curricular activities are a part and parcel of their education the students of Eco club planed fruit trees and Herbs like Guava, Lemon, Papaya, Tulsi etc.

Kirpal Sagar Academy is always at the fore front in developing responsible human beings with leadership qualities. The students are the visionaries and torch bearers of tomorrow. The new Supreme Council for the academic session 2016-17 was elected and sworn – in. It was a most awaited moment for these students.

The winning trophy was picked by Jhelum House, where as the 1st Runners-up was Chenab House in Boys category. In Girls category, Sutlej House bagged the winner’s trophy and Ravi House was the 1st Runners-up.

Earth Day Celebration proved to be a great way for the Kirpalians to showcase environmental education, highlighting the efforts to ‘Go Green’. It engaged the whole school community in educational and action-oriented activities. The social studies department organised a special assembly addressing the burning issues in this regard. The students presented a short skit, speech, a song, quiz and prayer, all dedicated to our mother Earth. An apt message for the day was given by our Headmistress, Mrs. Reena Chauhan; wherein she advised the students to be loving and caring for their mother Earth.
