Kirpalians celebrated the Earth Day Day 2019 with much enthusiasm. The aim was to sensitize the students towards their role in addressing global environment challenges at grass root level. The teachers and students tool part collectively in framing and organising today’s event. The special Assembly started with a poem in hindi, followed by short skit in Punjabi and Hindi respectively, informing the students on how Mother Earth can be saved from Global Warming. A speech in English a was delivered emphasizing on the day’s importance.

The Principal, Mrs. Madhu Aeri, appreciated the uniqueness of our planet, while at the same time, educated us about what we have and what are losing by acting in ways that aren’t environment friendly. A beautiful song was also sung by the school choir.

To mark this day and to emphasize upon the need to save trees, students were involved to sae trees, students were involved in the ‘Each One Planet One’   tree plantation drive. Students from class VI onwards participated in the rally organized by the school. The event organised went a long way in orienting the young’s minds to develop a continuing compassion for Mother Earth and thus making a difference.
