Cooking Queens and Imagine Nation 2020 13-11-2020

Under the able guidance of the Principal Mr. Gurjeet Singh, Kirpal Sagar Academy organized 'Cooking Queens and Imagine Nation 2020' for its children and their moters. The programme comprised of two competitions i.e. 'Painting' for children and 'Cooking Without Flame' for mothers. A large number of students of the Academy from classes 6th to 12th took part in two categories; Group A - classes 6th - 8th and Group B - classes 9th - 12th. A number of mothers took part in 'Cooking Without Flame'.

Hon'ble Chairman Dr. Karamjit Singh and Vice Chairperson Mrs. Parminder Kaur of Kirpal Sagar Academy presided over the programme. Mr. Jaswinder Singh, an eminent artist from Khanna along with his better half Mrs. Davinder Kaur, another renowned artist were the esteemed guests and judges of the painting competition, adjudged the paintings of student participants. Mrs. Sarbjit Mangat, a renowned Punjabi artist and Mr. Surjit Singh, Mess Manager of Kirpal Sagar, adjudged the dishes prepared by the mother contestants.

In the painting competition, Group - A category, Mehak of class 6th was declared the winner while Harpreet Kaur of class 7th, bagged the second position. Group - B category, Gurjit Kaur of 12th non medical won the contest. Mehreen Kaur of 12th non medical bagged the second position and the third position was shared by Manjashandeep Kaur and Suhaildeep Singh of 12th commerce.

Cooking competition for mothers was won by Mrs. Gurjeet Kaur. Mrs. Amandeep Kaur bagged the second position and Mrs. Satinder was placed third.

All the position holders in the painting competition were honoured with prizes and certificates. The cooking queens who were placed 1st, 2nd & 3rd, were honoured with cash prizes besides gift and certificates. Consolation prizes were awarded to Mrs. Shelly and Mrs. Surjeet Kaur. All the participants in both competitions were awarded with participation certificates.

Mr. Gurjeet Singh, the Principal of Kirpal Sagar Academy, addressed the gathering and informed about newly added features to the Academy. Hon'ble Chairman enlightened the gathering with his blissful speech. Everyone left the place carrying lasting memories in their minds. A few glimpses of the event are here
